"The Issue in the 7th Congressional
District of Alabama is jobs and our people need them… Now!!"
Don Chamberlain

The 7th Congressional District of Alabama is suffering from 20 years of economic neglect by previous representatives.
The result is horrific, with some of our counties experiencing the highest unemployment rates in the Nation.
I
will take responsibility for providing solutions, leadership, vision, and the implementation of a working plan to turn around
this economic downslide and restore our communities with opportunity, growth, and vitality—a future brimming with possibilities.
Developing these opportunities and making them available to you requires knowledge of available technologies,
resources, and contacts, as well as the practical ability to coordinate all this into viable, paying jobs. My experience and
background give me an unprecedented understanding of the solutions that generate opportunity for our citizens and the knowledge
to work smart in turning these ideas into reality.
The other candidates running for this office have voiced their
individual concerns regarding the economic conditions of our district. I welcome their participation in debating how
their job-creation platforms will be executed on behalf of the citizens throughout our district.
The unemployment
and job loss figures in the 7th District are staggering. Wilcox County is now suffering a 20% unemployment rate. You deserve
straight talk and a square deal on how your candidates intend to follow through on their rhetoric for job creation. It’s
one thing to make promises and acknowledge the problems. It is quite another to deliver results.
I am enthusiastically
ready to present our platform and outline the steps we need to take to start putting our folks in the 7th Congressional District
back to work.
Every political expert’s commentary I’ve read states that in
2012, the 7th Congressional District of Alabama will continue to be a democratically held “safe seat” in Washington.
If these experts think the status quo is acceptable to us, I suggest they don’t have a clue as to how much folks are
suffering in what has now become the poorest district in the state, if not in the nation.
I believe the successful
candidate in 2012 will be, regardless of race or even political affiliation, the one who gains the people’s confidence
that he or she can – and will – provide jobs.
My pledge to the people of the 7th Congressional
District of Alabama is this: every waking day I’m representing you, I will work hard to continue to create more jobs
throughout the district.
With a vision and a plan, let us get to work and begin a new day, together, answering
the call for economic security and a better quality of life for all our citizens, right here in the 7th Congressional District
of Alabama.
