It wasn’t until an unexpected pregnancy occurred in our family that I began to focus on this firebox of an issue,
politically and personally. Every time we keep our little grandbaby, I see clearly the miracle of God and how I, as
a simple man, would not compromise his future and destiny by legislating away his right to be born.
I love this
little one so much and get so much pleasure out of rocking and feeding him. I get immeasurable joy watching him kicking and
splashing in the tub and seeing his happy facial expressions telling me how much he enjoys his bath. There have been countless
times I’ve observed this little one’s every feature and movement. I’m in awe of how perfect his little fingers
and toes are and how his little pug nose resembles his grandmother’s.
Perhaps this little one will grow
up someday and develop a cure for cancer or invent a miracle drug that cures the common cold.
I am indescribably
grateful for the decision to bring this precious baby into the world, and it is my hope that every conception be carried to
birth.
As a Congressional Representative for the citizens of the 7th District of Alabama, I will stand tall in
the belief that life is a miracle of God and support Pro-Life for unborn babies. I cannot stand before God supporting
legislation which makes it legal to prevent these miracles of life from being born.
