Gun Contol

I strongly support “the right to keep and bear arms” as an absolute right for law abiding citizens, as written and guaranteed by the Second Amendment of our Constitution.

As a Congressional Representative, I also want to assure the safety of law abiding citizens by supporting no-nonsense legislation specifically written to assure the maximum consequence to any person who purchases a firearm illegally and/or with the intent to harm another.

I strongly support laws that increase jail time for offenders, and legislation to financially compensate victims for damages and losses.

Any legislation which would alter or ban our ability to purchase hand guns, rifles, and shotguns, and/or the ammunition manufactured for these firearms, I would oppose.

Any legislation that potentially tries to alter the 2nd Amendment, I believe would jeopardize the right of law abiding citizens to protect themselves, their homes, and their property from criminal intruders.

In creating the 2nd Amendment our forefathers expressed the importance of “the right to keep and bear arms.” We should never compromise this critical right by altering it in any way.
